Cancer Stole Her Hair But Her Adorable Kitten Knew Just What To Do

Sometimes heaven sends angels to help us to overcome our hardest circumstances. For one brave woman, her little angel came in the form of a sweet grey kitten.

The special little woman was born in an barn early in the spring and when she was found playing with three other litter mates, they had no clue about the exceptional part she was going to play.

Say hello to little Totoro!

A very brave woman, Imgur user mykittentotoro, was diagnosed with breast cancer and as the disease progressed and treatment turned out to be more aggressive, she started to search for approaches to help her adapt. 

That's when a friend suggested kitten therapy!

Deciding that it was worth a try, she and her fiancé visited a nearby farm after finding out about the new litter of kittens.

Every few days since, they backpedaled to visit the cats. She immediately fell head over heels for one very special fur baby - Totoro!!

"It was really therapeutic for me while I was wrapping my head around everything going in my life," she told Love Meow

They had been watchful for another kitty since they said their farewells to one of their adult cats earlier in the Spring. The couple needed to locate that missing riddle piece to complete their family

Her partner went to the barn after her Lumpectomy and came home with their new fur child, Totoro.

"She took to our home immediately, even though she had lived in a barn and free-roaming her entire life. Our two adult cats accepted her after only a couple of days. She is very close with our male cat, and is well tolerated by our other female."

The fun loving and energetic barn kitty made a magnificent progress into an upbeat indoor cat.  When she got to know cuddles, she was hooked.

"Now she's a total pro-cuddler!"

"She loves perching on shoulders, kneading, purring loudly… and batting your eyelashes while you're sleeping," Totoro's human mom said.

"She has been such a positive healing force in my life, even in the short time she has been in it. The timing was somehow perfect, and we are so lucky to have found her," human mom told Love Meow.

Every night Totoro stays by her pillow purring her on.

"When chemo takes your hair, but your kitten keeps your head warm at night. Thanks Totoro!"

Consistently, Totoro moves up onto the bed and snuggles down on the pillow right next by her human mom's head to keep her warm.
