An Ohio girl named Valerie Spruill, a 60 year old woman who lives in Doylestown, who has three children and eight grandchildren, revealed a shocking story of her life in the hope that it could inspire those going through a rough time. She first told her story in the Akron Beacon Journal and now many were inspired by her story around the world.
Valerie discovered that her husband and her father were the same person. Nobody told her while her husband was alive, although she's been hearing rumors that her husband is her real father, but thanks to her uncle who told the truth after the death of her husband. The confirmation became concrete through DNA testing, hairs was taken from one of her husband's hair brushes. Valerie said she does not know for certain that he was aware of the extent of their relationship, though she strongly believes he did know but was simply too afraid to tell her.
Valerie said when she was 3 months old, she was sent to her grandmother. She was told that her grandfather was her father and live normally. It wasn't until the age of 9 when she discovered it was her grandfather not her father who was caring for her and found out also that the woman she knew as a"family friend" and often visited her, she was in fact her biological mother, Christine.

Christine, her biological mother was jailed on sex charges in 1980, She met her father Percy Spruill when he was 15 years old. Spruill born in Mississippi, he worked in Akron as a truck driver and, later, as a parking lot attendant at the Morley Health Center. He died in April 1998 at the age of 60.
Valerie has been working with a therapist since she found, she praises them for helping her realize she did nothing wrong. "I want this to be more of an inspirational story,"If I've come through this, anyone can come through anything through the help of the lord.". She said.
Valerie revealed the story along with a hope of finding her additional siblings she didn't know existed. She strongly believes that her faith helped her get through two strokes and a diabetic coma that kept her in intensive care for 11 days.
